Job Description

Job Type 

  • PART TIME
  • Thursdays: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Friday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Weekends as assigned (per necessity of events/projects)

Key Responsibilities & duties

  • Manage event operations, systems, scheduling, and volunteers for special events and conferences at Houses of Light Church
  • Sit in the core team meetings, taking notes on action points as well as areas that need follow-up
    • Check in with ministry leaders to assure they have everything they need to finish their projects in a timely manner
  • Send out reminders, plan, and coordinate core team and staff meetings for ministry leaders and full-time church staff
  • Bring feedback and insight to help streamline events and ongoing projects, so they are more effective and remain aligned to our mission/vision as a church
  • Work with senior and executive pastors to care for ministry leaders and ensure the effectiveness of their tasks.

Qualification

  • 2 years assisting to Houses of Light
  • Maintain flexibility and create efficient new processes and strategies
  • Passionate about taking a huge vision and turning it into reality through strategic execution
  • Highly relational-you recognize the value of working with and through others
  • Have experience with event planning, budgeting, project management, and related organizational skills
  • Able to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and solve problems
  • You’re excited to work in a fun, fast-paced atmosphere where everyone takes the mission very seriously, but no one takes themselves too seriously
  • You’ve learned that simple is always better, but it isn’t always easy
  • You believe a smile is always the first line of defense
